Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia experienced by people aged 60 and over. The disease may start with simple forgetfulness (most people with mild forgetfulness do not have Alzheimer's, however), but then may progress to more severe symptoms such as an inability to perform everyday tasks or to recognize faces of loved ones. Researchers have been unable to determine a cause or cure for the disease, but have found that patients who change their diet to lower their risk factors for cardiovascular disease might also lower their risk for Alzheimer's disease.
*Be sure to include plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds in your daily diet. Supplement your diet with as many antioxidants as possible, such as in the Vitality 6 50+ pack, and Unforgettables for cognitive health.
