Never put T36-C5, Triple Antibiotic Ointment, or MelaGel in the eye, as they can cause pain and dryness of the eyeball. None of the medicine chest products are approved for use in the eye. For black eye, see the section on Bruises in this book.
* None of the Melaleuca products are approved for use in or near the eye. If the injury is due to caustic chemicals splashing in the eye, you should immediately wash the eye with fresh water for several minutes. Contact your eye doctor without delay. Foreign matter in the eye can scratch or even penetrate the cornea. Avoid rubbing the eyes, so as not to cause further irritation. Use only products that are certified ophthalmological grade.
