Eye

The eye is the organ of sight.
* A major contributor to eye challenges is the typical high-fat, high sugar, preservative-laden American diet. Since the deficiency of just one vitamin or mineral can lead to a variety of eye challenges, the Vitality Pack with Oligofructose Complex and ProVex-Plus along with NutraView are necessary to protect the eyes not only from macular degeneration, but can often help with blurred vision, cataracts, eyestrain, floaters, itchy or tired eyes, thinning eyelashes, or vascular retinopathy. In addition, the glucosamine found in Replenex has shown to prevent some diseases of the eye. People who are near-sighted (myopic) usually have much less glucosamine than people with normal vision.

EYE INJURIES
Never put T36-C5, Triple Antibiotic Ointment, or Mela Gel in the eye, as they can cause pain and dryness of the eyeball. None of the medicine chest products are approved for use in the eye. For black eye, see the section on Bruises in this book.
* None of the Melaleuca products are approved for use in or near the eye. If the injury is due to caustic chemicals splashing in the eye, you should immediately wash the eye with fresh water for several minutes. Contact your eye doctor without delay. Foreign matter in the eye can scratch or even penetrate the cornea. Avoid rubbing the eyes, so as not to cause further irritation. Use only products that are certified ophthalmological grade.
