HYPOGLYCEMIA (Low BLOOD SUGAR)

Low blood sugar accounts for more behavioral symptoms than any single condition. Afternoon fatigue, forgetfulness, dull headaches, multiple food allergies, anti-social behavior, difficulty losing weight, bad dreams, sweet or alcohol cravings, sudden loss of energy, eating disorders, fits of anger or depression, body aches, poor protein digestion and slow physical reflexes are the more common symptoms.

Stress, overconsumption of refined sugar, and nutritional deficienncies of minerals and B vitamins appear to be the causes of hypoglycemia. Up to 50% of Americans randomly tested with a 6-hour glucose/insulin tolerance test had an abnormal response. Since the nervous system cannot store fuel, it must constantly be bathed in glucose for normal function. (One judge in California is known for not granting a divorce to couples until they have both taken a glucose tolerance test.) Children experiencing hyperactive behavior following a sugary holiday are well documented by teachers. In adults, sudden drops in blood sugar or low fasting levels (before breakfast) stimulate an instinct to eat something or somebody! Many convicted criminals have a story of sugar abuse. Alcohol is the simplest form of sugar. Untreated, hypoglycemia in some people tends to produce adult-type diabetes.
    * Eat nourishing meals with the insurance of the Vitality Pack. Eating smaller, more frequent meals is also very helpful. Start with a high-fiber, low-fat diet. Lots of fiber cleanses the body, removes toxins and helps to dilute, bind, and deactivate many carcinogens. It removes excess bile from the stomach and intestine, prevents obesity, lowers cholesterol, stabilizes blood sugar, and increases energy. Avoid refined sugar, caffeine, and cooked fats. Exercise moderately after eating an Access Performance Bar. Drink Sustain Sport between meals to prevent sudden blood sugar drops.
