Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an illness diagnosed in over 350,000 people in the United States today. Even now, much is to be learned. In brief, what is known about MS is that it is signified by more than one (multiple) area of inflammation and scarring of the myelin in the brain and spinal cord. Myelin is the tissue that covers and protects our nerve fibers. When this damage occurs, nerve "communication" is disrupted. Thus, a person with MS experiences varying degrees of neurological impairment depending on the location and extent of the scarring. Although there is no known cure for MS at this time, there is much that can be done to make your life easier.
* The following suggestion has been recommended for MS. Take the Vitality Pack with Oligofructose Complex and CellWise as directed. For the first 2-4 weeks, take a saturation dose of ProVex-Plus--l per 25 pounds of body weight per day. Take half in the morning and half in the evening. After the saturation period, you should be able to decrease by one per day and gradually decrease until you are taking four each day. Never go below four. However, if you are decreasing and you seem to be "slipping" a little, increase the dosage by one each day. This is not an exact science, so you will need to pay attention to your body and listen to its needs. Sustain Sport is the ultimate "fatigue buster" and will not make you feel wired like caffeine or sugar. The Access Performance Bar is also a tremendous help with energy.
Dr. Roy Swank, head of the Department of Neurology at the University of Oregon, put 146 incurable MS patients on low-fat, high fiber diets (approximately 30-40 grams of fiber per day), with a vitamin supplement and found that 90% of the early stage MS patients had a complete arrest of the progress of their disease. In fact, they showed improvement even over a twenty-year span of the illness. He then looked at the intermediate stage and had a 65% success rate in that it signifiicantly slowed the progression of the disease. This regime was continued for seven years, and it arrested the progression of the MS in patients at the intermediate stage of this disease. In the advanced stages, Dr. Swank found that there was a 30% arrest of the progression
Adding fiber to your diet is easy if you use Sustain Sport, Attain, and FtberWise drink or bars provided by Melaleuca. It is not only easy to do but they taste good as well!
